An order tracking process (web and Blackberry versions) was developed, to allow customers to follow the progress of their orders.
In addition, a delivery & stillage tracking system based on bar coding was installed. Once a unit is ready, it is allocated to specific stillage. Before the delivery is sent out, any units that are missing or misplaced are highlighted. This system will also email/fax a message to the customer, informing them of a delivery date for the replacement of missing units.
Stillages are allocated to each customer before being loaded on to transport. The system generates a delivery note for stillages, as well as reminding staff if the equipment is not returned within a specified time period. |

The potential for human error has been greatly reduced. |

Any staff member can check delivery dates instantly, which helps to maintain factory load at the right level. |
 |
Staff can locate any type of document within seconds, which saves time and frees up space on the site that was previously used for paper document storage. |

The process of purchase and tracking orders has been simplified. The task of finding and comparing prices related to different suppliers has been minimised, and stock is replaced as soon as levels are running low. |

Deliveries are no longer sent out with missing, which has saved time and increased customer satisfation, leading to more repeat business. The problem of missing stillages has been solved. |
