The company’s existing software was being used to monitor cash register information. However the software did not have the facility to generate reports (interactive/graphical/chart/analytical).
The software was also unable to provide a full stock control system. Therefore it was not possible to identify any losses/missing stock. It quickly became clear that this lack of transparency was adversely affecting the business. For example, on 28 August the restaurant sold 12 bottles of lager at £3/bottle, but total lager sales on that day amounted to only £30, which left the till £6 short.
The MSBC Bespoke Solution?
A fully automated system
The Result:
The new software can be used to generate a variety of reports that can be used to track the progress of stock and monitor sales.
The system crosschecks sales against the value of items sold. If a significant variable occurs, the system will automatically raise an alert with the business manager via e-mail.
The new system has simplified the asset control system, and acts as a safeguard against theft.
