arrow The company was using a manual (paper) filing system to deal with documents related to health and safety/managerial/inspection etc.
arrow Employees are required by law to fill out specific forms on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. The form is then sent to a location where hard copies are stored.
arrow This system highlighted an expensive problem. If an employee claimed for an injury on site, the site manager had to be able to locate the claimant’s most recent form. Otherwise, the company was legally obliged to compensate the claimant to a level that the claimant himself/herself had set.

This allows staff to:
arrow Find a particular document in seconds
arrow Fill in an electronic form from any site via the internet
arrow Add multiple attachments to the form
arrow Add signatures electronically
arrow Before sending out an electronic form, employees are asked to select the physical path of the destination server. Once the form has been sent by e-mail, it is automatically converted into a PDF file, with signature embedded in the document.
The Result:
arrow Information flows much more smoothly, and with a significant reduction in man hours. Fewer incidents where staff claim high levels of compensation following an injury.
